U11 Match Report
CACC U11’s played against Carrick on Mon evening.
Carrick batted first in perfect conditions with a quick outfield. Harry Saneesh took two wickets, Zeke Templeton, Rory Johnson and James McDonald took a wicket apiece. Carrick benefited from some wayward bowling and eventually scored 93 in 20 overs.
In reply Rory Johnson and James McDonald started very well scoring 15 in the first four overs which included a six by James. Keshav Raghuram and Jonathan Parr continued the high scoring rate with 10 in their four overs. Olly Gillies and Ally Scott did well to fend of some of the opening bowlers in their second spells. Jack McAteer and Simon Bolton played well squeezing out 4 singles to bring CACC closer to victory. The final pair Euan Mackinson and Daithi Brogan despite their best efforts were unable to see CACC over the line as they eventually lost by 5 runs.
This group continue to make tremendous progress.
