U15 Match Report

The U15 team travelled to Templepatrick on Friday evening for a league match. Templepatrick batted first. Olly’s Scott and Smyth opened the bowling and immediately settled in on a nagging line and length. Olly Scott struck first removing the TCC opener LBW. Olly Smyth returned with two wickets in his second spell. Daniel Bolton and Adam Gooderham took three wickets each. Matthew Williamson was extremely unlucky not to take a wicket in his very economical four overs. This was a very pleasing fielding and bowling performance. Two catches by Harvey Latham and a run out from Ethan Miller helped restrict TCC to 86 all out.

CACC started poorly in reply losing both openers in quick succession. Olly Scott (24 retd) and Stuart Johnson (23 retd) restored some order and scored freely to all parts of the ground. Adam Gooderham and Ethan Miller chipped in with some important runs and were both retired close to the end. William Knight struck the winning runs through mid wicket with 6 overs still to spare. This was a comprehensive 8 wicket win. Next up Carrick.
